Robert Banks Stewart

Robert Banks Stewart was a writer and producer working primarily in British television. Among his many producing credits are the BAFTA nominated Shoestring and Bergerac, both of which he co-created. Also, The Darling Buds of May, Hannay, Frank Stubbs and Call me Mister.

As a writer he has contributed memorable scripts to an array of classic television including The Avengers, Adam Adamant Lives!, Doctor Who, Dr Finaly’s Casebook, Danger Man, Jason King, The Sweeney, Charles Endell, Esq, and the BBC’s adaptation of My Uncle Silas starring Albert Finney.

Robert passed away in 2016.
