The Unofficial Skins Companion Volume 1: Series 1-4
by Richard Molesworth
Skins is the Channel 4 / E4 teen comedy-drama which, since 2007, has redefined British television drama for a whole new audience. With its sometimes shocking storylines of hedonistic parties, drug taking, and sexual excess, the series has grabbed headlines in the national press, and has given rise to the media concept of the 'Skins' party - which invariably ends with a massive clean-up bill for someone! But behind all the hype is a series that has solid drama, writing, and performance at its very heart, along with a soundtrack that’s at the cutting edge of new urban music.
This book is the perfect companion to the first four series of Skins. It presents a unique analysis of each and every episode of the series, plus all the various spin-offs that that accompany the programme. It offers a comprehensive guide to the characters, storylines and music that have helped define this popular and award-winning TV series.
